Wicehtowak Workforce Development is proud of our Indigenous Skills Training participants and would like to acknowledge their accomplishment.
In partnership with BHP Jansen, Wicehtowak is proud to have been able to provide a training opportunity to ten Wicehtowak Workforce Development clients from June 18th-30th. These clients showed great commitment, dedication, and developed greatly over the course of the training session. Not only did they develop personally, but they also developed professionally.
During the training, they learned about camp life. They completed all of the different training requirements, learned about safety on site, and were informed of the different jobs available. They rotated through three positions at the Jansen Discovery Lodge, where they got to see what it was like in the different work environments of Housekeeping, Kitchen, and Janitorial.
We are proud of each of them as they completed the entirety of the training. They had great compliments from ATCO and BHP staff members, as well as management from the departments in which they worked.
