24 Graduates Begin Their Journey with the Wicehtowak Solar Project

May 14, 2026by Admin

We are proud to congratulate the 24 participants who successfully completed our Paid Solar Panel Installation Training Program and have now officially begun their employment journey with the Wicehtowak Solar Project.

Launched on March 16, 2026, this three-week hands-on training program was designed to provide participants with real-world skills and direct pathways into meaningful employment within the growing renewable energy sector.

Delivered in Regina, the program combined practical instruction, industry exposure, and employment readiness training to prepare participants for work on the major 34 MW Wicehtowak Solar Project located at the K + S Potash Mine near Bethune, Saskatchewan. Participants are now stepping into a high-energy, purpose-driven work environment where they will help support the installation of approximately 66,000 solar panels throughout the 2026 construction season.

This initiative represents more than training — it represents opportunity, growth, and long-term career development. By removing barriers through paid training, lunch support, and transportation assistance, the program created accessible pathways for individuals ready to build a future in the skilled trades and renewable energy industry.

We are incredibly proud of each participant for their commitment, hard work, and determination throughout the program. Their success is a powerful reminder that the journey does not stop at training, it is only the beginning.

Congratulations again to all 24 graduates as they take this exciting next step in their careers with the Wicehtowak Solar Project. We look forward to seeing the impact they will make in Saskatchewan’s growing clean energy sector.
